From clinical practice
to sharing knowledge.
Thibaud Syre, MSc IACMM and holder of the title of Expert in Vision Science, has dedicated his career to clinical optometry and fittings that require specialist expertise. He is now a senior optometrist and co-founder of Alpes Vision in Grenoble.
His work focuses on specialist lenses: scleral lenses, orthokeratology and overnight lenses, bespoke rigid geometries, irregular corneas and multifocal correction. He also works in progressive myopia, ocular surface and dry eye.
Alongside his clinical practice, he teaches optometry to students on Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes. He also supports the profession through continuing education, the development of teaching tools and the sharing of scientific information that can be applied directly in everyday practice.

Thibaud Syre regularly speaks to eye-care professionals at congresses, conferences and practical workshops. His presentations notably cover scleral lenses, orthokeratology, myopia control, dry eye and multifocal fittings.
A lecturer on Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in optometry, he helps train both future professionals and practising clinicians through continuing education. He speaks in France and internationally, in French, English and Portuguese, and has shared his experience across Europe, North Africa and Brazil. He also sits on scientific panels, moderates professional debates and designs training courses that make clinical knowledge immediately applicable.
